It's official...

Fr. Ralph with the happy couple...

... they're married! Surrounded by family, with Fr. Ralph witnessing, and with fellow Stedsmen, residents of MyGlynn residents, and Steds moms and dads present, Ana Maria Miravete '21 of McGlynn and Daniel O'Brien '21 of Steds were married at St. Mary's Cathedral in Austin,Texas. Even if on and off again rain showers, it was a most beautiful and fantastic day for a wedding, and the day was only made more beautiful and fantastic by this radiant bride and grinning groom. From their smiles to the vows professed and everything in between, and everything was planned right down to the proverbial "t" by Daniel's mom, Cynthia, it truly was a day that the Lord had made for them, Ana Maria and Daniel, and their family and friends. On Ana Maria joining the Steds Family, Matt Coffey ‘21, Steds and groomsman, shared, "There is no greater joy than seeing two of your great friends bring such happiness to each other. Ana brings out all the best in Dan, especially that goofy smile he had on his face the whole night.” 

Another Stedsman in the wedding party, Josh Gambardella ‘21, added, “The St. Edward’s Hall family gained a new official member as of February 10, 2024, in Austin, Texas! Ana Maria Miravete married our very own Dan O’Brien, Class of 2021. The event was packed with STEDS Gentlemen and their families, all eager to witness the momentous occasion. We could not be happier for Dan and Ana. At the end of the day, what they say about Texas may or may not be true, but one thing is for sure: The amount of love and support for the new couple is too large to quantify.”

Finally, Stedsman and Best Man, Chase Miller ‘21, declared, “Dan marrying Ana isn’t simply like gaining a sister or him finding his better half, but instead represents a concrete completion to the man. She somehow smooths his rougher edges while simultaneously generally energizing him. We have truly been blessed with a gentlewoman.”
