Champions!

Our Steds Champions...

Our Steds Hockey Team are the RecSports Hockey Champions! It was a decisive victory for our Steds squad who crushed their opponents, Baumer Duncan, breaking their spirits and sending them home with the big "L." The championship game saw Steds score first, and well, they kept scoring and never stopped. A frustrated Baumer Duncan showed their true colors, and what terrible colors they were! Zahm Hall, the residence hall that was closed three years ago, sent residents to both Baumer and Duncan Halls, who now constituted the bulk of players facing against our Stedsmen the championship game. Suffice it to say, these frustrated, skill deficient, and let's be honest, embarrassed group on the ice from Zahm resorted to their old antics of cheap fouls and tricks. And it should come at no surprise that Zahm players spent more time in the penalty box than on the ice. In the end, the Zahm forfeited for fighting, but not before the Stedsmen scored six goals. Literally, the good guys won, six to one. On the championship win, Andrew Kurowski, Steds hockey captain and sophomore, declared, "What. A. Game. It is always an honor to bring Steds a championship but victory is even sweeter against Zahm in the final chapter of our stories rivalry. The entire team would like to thank all the Stedsmen that came out to the game and made it such a big success. May this be the beginning of a dynasty, for Hall and King.”

Congratulations to our RecSport Champions!
