A Southern Union: A wedding cake of sorts
... is over, but some of its effects continue to be felt or rather tasted. That's particularly the case at Ed's, where the Southern Union, a special offering to commemorate the revival of Founder's Week, can still be found on the menu. A warm Krispy Kreme doughnut with melted butter, topped off with ice cream, the Southern Union was a Steds spin on a UVA staple, the Grillswith. With Paddy Foss, Steds AR and UVA grad, sharing technical knowhow with Ed's food techs, this Southern treat, uniting sweet with sweet, was substantially improved. On this special offering at Ed's, Foss shared, “I am happy to have the ability to share this piece of my culture with the Gentlemen.
