White: We have caffeine
...on the second floor. Trouble? Perish the thought! No, coffee... and thanks to a benefactor, on an industrial level too! James "Jimmy" White V '13, Steds 2nd floor AR and MTS grad student, has introduced a new custom at the Hall, Folger's at Four on Friday. After a long week of theologizing and translating Biblical Greek, there's nothing more enjoyable for Jimmy than having coffee and conversations with others besides his usual partners, Sts. Irenaeus, Clement of Rome, Justin the Martyr, and Athanasius. And while Folger's was served at the first Folger's, the coffee brand and type is constantly changing to meet the palates and curiosities of residents. On Folger's, White said, "At the end of each busy school week, guys have a latte on their mind, so Folger’s at Four is a chance for rest. When God created the universe, on the seventh day He rested. The life of a St. Edward's Gentleman is indeed like the life of God. So, Folger's at Four is our Sabbath Day. In his Confessions, Saint Augustine prays to God, 'Our heart is restless until it rests in You.' At Folger's at Four, in like manner, we say, 'Our heart is restless until it rests in brew.'
