But let's hear from the two time winner, Thomas Larson, who, on winning for the second time in a row, said, "I was thrilled to share this film on the big screen with the Notre Dame community at the 36th Annual Film Festival. There’s no better feeling than knowing an audience connects with your work, and receiving the Audience Choice Award was truly an honor. Winning it for the second year in a row is beyond anything I could have imagined. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who supported the film and made this experience so special. For Hall and King!”

Hurray for...
... Steds! Micaela Kastor and Thomas Larson's You Are Home has been voted the 2025 Audience Choice Award winner! Audiences throughout the festival weekend voted for their top two favorite films, and votes for the award were tallied and the results were presented after the final screening on Sunday, January 27th. This is Micaela Kastor's first time winning the Audience Choice Award and Thomas Larson's second time winning...and the second time in a row too! Larson's first Audience Choice Award was in 2024 with his deliciously hilarious short entitled ConFISHion. But this time, Larson won with not a short but a documentary, something that has never been done before in the history of the Notre Dame film festival. We are not surprised. Congratulations to Larson and Kastor, and good luck at Sundance!"
