A Gentleman...

Being schooled: Marcel Mangan and Robert Hartz...

... serves. Recently, thanks to sophomore Isaac LeFevre, the Gentlemen, served worked at the on campus early developmental elementary school (EDEC). Yes, there’s an early, elementary school on campus! Located on the northeast corner of campus and right across from the McCourtney Halls I and 2, EDEC-ND is open to children from the ages of two to six years of age, with the majority being the children of ND faculty and staff. Interestingly, there is also an EDEC-SM… at St. Mary’s… and has been on campus for the past fifty years! Several gentlemen made a visit to EDEC-ND, and to be honest, we're not sure who was helping who. In the end, the younger kids did more, keeping the wayward "older kids" out of trouble through various, diversionary activities of coloring for beginners, inter-mediate brick building, and of course, advanced finger painting. On the experience, Henry Mussig, Steds sophomore and resident Iowan, stated,“It was an amazing opportunity to volunteer with the whippersnappers at the Children’s EDEC here on campus. Cars were raced, books were read, color and painting, but most importantly, memories were made.”
