There's a rival...

Step on more grapes...

...hall sage at Steds! Usually, we hear the wise adages from the occupant of room 309, but lately, another wisdom figure has emerged... and he's across the hallway in room 310! Both have wise, yet witty, sayings that make them both wisdom figures not just for the 3rd floor but the entire Hall. Will you be a devotee of the savant in room 309 or 310?  Who's wisdom will reign supreme? On the emergence of this new sage, an unnamed Stedsman said, "I now know what the ancient Greeks experienced... should I follow Socrates, Plato or Aristotle? What about the others... Xenophon, Heraclitus, or Epicurus? Still yet, what about Pythagoras and his theorem?"
