The Christmas Decorating Party was the place to be...
... Christmas, hearts weren't given nor given away the very next day, but a Christmas tree was certainly decorated! Even though it was only the second Sunday of Advent, the Stedsmen were ready to skip the next two Sundays of Advent and head straight to Christmas. How could you tell? Well, just look around the Hall. From room doors to lounges, Stedsmen decorated, giving the Hall a feel of not only home but also Christmas. Following the Hall's Sunday Mass, at the direction of the President, Tommy Kelly, Stedsmen and guests retired to the Gregorian Lounge for festive drinks and Christmas goodies along with all the fixings to decorate the Hall Christmas tree as well as individual room doors. Suffice it to say, it was a festive mood- worthy of a Charles Dickens chapter or at least sentence or two- full of cheer and smiles. And yes, there was Christmas music too. On the decorating of the Hall Christmas tree and festive Christmas party, President Kelly declared, "it was a historic and creative meeting of the minds to decorate and honor the magnificent tree in the Gregorian lounge. Luigi Gregori himself would be proud."
On Christmas decorating for the very first time, Ryan Mooney, Steds freshman and resident Missourian, shared, "I channeled my inner 40-year-old mom with two kids and a house in the suburbs—decorating an oversized Christmas tree and listening to Mariah Carey—I began to more fully appreciate the unsurpassed performance Caitlin Clark has had despite the tremendous target on her back."
