Started by Knute Rockne, the Bengal Bouts is yearly event, where after extensive training. students box, raising funds for the Holy Cross missions in Bangladesh. Every year a number of Gentlemen dedicate themselves to a rigorous training schedule to prepare themselves for the month long competition. Hoping to win their bouts, earning glory and fame for themselves but especially for their Hall and King, four Gentlemen are preparing to enter the ring this year... Daniel Maguire, Aidan Tompkins, Jared Walsh and Josh Williams. Rest assured, as these boxers are focusing on their preparations, their fellow Gentlemen will do their part, cheering and motivating their Gentlemen boxers. On boxing in the Bouts, Aidan Tompkins, Steds sophomore and resident stand up comedian said, "I joined Bengal Bouts because it seemed like something fun to do and a new skill to learn. It’s been really tough but a lot of fun. The tournament is in just over three weeks, and I’m very excited for it. Well, until I get hit."
