Clash of...

Lynch taking a shot...

... the Titans in the Billiards Room. It was a good, old fashion throw down in the Steds Billiards Room that pitted Stedsmen against Stedsmen in a high-stakes pool tournament. Following a single-elimination bracket, a pair of duos went head-to-head in games of 8-ball pool until one stood victorious.

Vying for credit at the Michelin three-starred eatery, Ed's, the gentleman's game of billiards has never been so cutthroat. After nearly three hours of fierce play,  Team "Danimal and Japutinga,”  composed of freshmen Dane Storch and Louis Rauch, emerged the victors after Michael Lynch of Team "Eight Balls”, with Ben Theis, pocketed the 8-ball on an impressive bank shot in the wrong pocket.

Still, special shoutouts go to Will Dwortz and Quentin Fairchild of the Team "Q can, Q will" for coming in second place. Still yet, notable thanks go to Levi Cherek for having the entire rulebook of standard American 8-ball pool seemingly memorized cover to cover and Eoghan Fay for being the line judge in a game with no lines that require judging.

In the end, it was a jovial afternoon of brotherhood and trigonometry that will stand out in the history books for Steds generations to come.

On the win, Rauch and Storch shared, “We had a tough road to the championship, playing some of the toughest competition on the field, but our team chemistry allowed us to take home the title.  This tournament ended like most things with Steds on top.”
