That's...

Steds Gentlemen: Students during the day...

... amore! With things returning to normal at Steds after the a had fought Mullets campaign, the Gentlemen are back to their various and sundry pursuits. One such pursuit is cooking. With campus' favorite hall eatry, Ed's, closed to due to the pandemic, the Stedsmen have been able to use the Ed's kitchen for personal cooking. And what are they cooking? Well, whatever they want... but NO flambĂ© anything! Earlier this week, a savory and inviting aroma wafted down the first floor hallway. Upon investigating, it was clear that an Italian night was in the works as Nicky Haskell, Peter Ferraro, and Cullen Geahigan were chopping, dicing, and simmering away.

While Geahigan was cooking lasagna, the two sophomores were up to something else. What was it? Well, let's hear from the chefs themselves. On his cooking, Haskell said, “With midterm exams around the corner, Peter and I made it a point to slow down and take the time to make a home cooked meal. Both of us miss our family’s Italian cooking, so we decided to make penne with red sauce and some garlic bread. This Tuesday, we are excited to spend our mini break going to the Italian market and cooking a full feast.”

Still, his fellow sophomore, Ferraro shared, "Cooking in my family has always been a way to destress and spend quality time with one another, so what better way to spend our “spring break” than cooking a homemade Italian feast! Today, Nicky and I went to the local Italian market and found some great ingredients to make a Caprese Salad, some penne pasta, and chicken cutlets. After nearly two hours of cooking, we were finally able to enjoy our meal in our dorm room along with the fantastic view of the Golden Dome."

How did they fare? You be the judge!

... and chefs at night!
