... won! Our Steds Hockey Team is the RecSports Hockey Champions! It was a very close win for our Steds squad who faced off against a three headed hydra... Dunne, Siegfried, and Coyle Halls. But in the end, Steds broke their spirits and sending them ALL home with the big "L." The championship game saw Steds score first, but they eventually equalized, sending the game into overtime and then a shoot out, where thanks to our goalie, Jack Keller, Steds triumphed thanks to amazing save. In the end, like in the Milan Olympics, the good guys won. On the championship win, Andrew Kurowski, Steds hockey captain and senior, declared, "So pumped to bring another Interhall Hockey Championship back to the Oldest and most storied Hall on Campus and could not be prouder of the whole team effort that went into 3 periods, 1 overtime, and a shootout’s worth of gritty Steds Hockey!"
Still, the goalie, who according to Kurowski played the best game he had have ever seen him play, deserving of a Presidential Medal of Freedom too, shared, “An incredible moment to end four great years of inter-hall and collegiate hockey on. It really was a team effort and I’m just glad I could come through for the boys.”
Congratulations to our Steds Hockey Team, the 2026 RecSport Champions!
