Empty nesters: Steds

... she was gone. The Hall's resident mourning dove, who took up residency in a window on the main staircase landing between the 3rd and 4th floor, has left the nest. One minute she was there, and then the next, she disappeared. We don't know when she left, but after being absence for a couple of days now, it's becoming evident that she not coming back. And our dove's disappearance is hitting some of our residents really hard, who did so much, even adding a privacy screen, to make her stay more commodious. But in the end, she left. On the mourning dove's departure, Valdimir Petrescu, freshman and resident Romanian, said, "It was all so sudden. Did we say something? Please come back."
