Now, it should be known DiLella didn't just decide one morning he running a marathon. No. All throughout the spring and summer, he was training to a run a marathon this fall with fellow ROTC members. Having a bit of setback, where he couldn't push pass twelve miles, DiLella redoubled his efforts, breaking through and taking his training to the next level. But with the marathon suddenly becoming a "virtual marathon" thanks to COVID, DiLella decided to run it away. Seeing no better time than the present, DiLella ran his marathon, finishing in three hours and twenty minutes and change AND taking the first place ranking! The marathon might have been virtual but the effort was not. On his finish, DiLella shared, "It goes to show how far you can push yourself if you set your mind on a goal and work at it."
