... again! The Steds Hall baseball team has take to the field under the lights to play America's pastime. The season started with a showdown against Morrissey Manor. Unfortunately, the boys in green and gold, under the direction of Coach Now Sweilem, couldn't hod the Manorites. Steds went down fighting, losing seven to one.
Oddly enough, the game went much like trying to outfit the team… a losing endeavor. First, the old jerseys were retired, but no one ordered new ones. Then, when Steds wanted to purchase new jerseys, news was received that Covid made that impossible. Why? Because all jersey manufacturers were out of business! The only good news was that Steds was able to pivot using the Hall basic t-shirt as a temporary uniform! Thank God because we can’t have the kids looking like hoodlums.
On the game, Coach Sweilem said, “It was really great to get out on the field after not being able to play for the past TWO years. I have a great feeling about the team this year!”
