Gainz, gainz, and

Jack Kalicak: On the gainz train

... more gainz. Steds is always a number of steps ahead of other residence halls in everything and that is evident once again. The evidence? The new treadmill in the Steds gym. Thanks to generous benefactions that set everything in motion, Operation Refreshed was initiated. Overseen by Steds assistant rector, Paddy Foss, upgrades to Steds gym equipment were made so that the Steds "gainz train" could chug on. And it is. The new Steds treadmill, has a substantially smaller footprint, freeing up space for gym goers. Still yet, it's helping our Holy Half marathon runners prepare NOW for that big race in the Spring. But there's more to be had. Here's what Foss had to say about the new acquisition.

St.Ed: The treadmill looks really different. Why is that?

Foss: Yes, our treadmill is a self-propelled, curved model.

St.Ed: Is it special?

Foss: It resides in St.Ed’s… so, yes. It's special.

St.Ed: Okay, let me ask it another way. What makes a self-propelled, curved treadmill unique?

Foss: The curved/self propelled nature is much better for joints and burns 30% more calories than motorized.
