Smith and Bergstrom: We say hello!

Enough good byes! How about a hello? Indeed, we have a very big hello to announce. Last night, with great fanfare and excitement, the Stedsmen said hello to an old friend... Ed's! Yes, everyone's favorite hall eatery has opened its doors, serving up late night goodness in the form of paninis, milkshakes, smoothies, pizza sticks, and much more. Yes, all those things that young scholars need to fuel night studying are back again. Thanks to Ed's, straight As are right around the corner! And the Hall has two persons to thank... Henry Bergstrom and Jacob Smith. Seniors, RAs, and past Ed's employees themselves, Bergstrom and Smith are the managers of Ed's overseeing the daily operations and the maintaining of its coveted Michelin stars. 

On getting Ed's opened sooner than anticipated, Bergstrom shared, "Reopening Ed’s was an unbelievable experience. The energy in the building was something I haven’t seen in a long time. To be a part of this was simply a blessing. Over the past year and a half, it has felt like something big was missing from my life. After last night, I realized it was just a Herb Brooks (an Ed's panini)" while Smith added, "544 days. 13,056 hours. Over 47,000,000 seconds. That is how long the sacred doors have been closed, how long the storied oven has been devoid of pizza sticks, and how long the men of St. Ed’s have fasted. But, we say no more. Opening Ed’s and now serving our residents is such a privilege that I will relish for many years to come."
