Undefeated Steds: Making a run for glory

... for RecSport's gold. The Steds flag football team is making a run for the championship. Undefeated in regular season, our Hall's 4 and 0 team now advances to the playoffs where it is expected to be the number one seeded team. As the team makes preparations, we were able to briefly speak with Wes Roeder, Steds junior and team captain.

St. Ed: As the team captain, what do you do for the team?

Roeder: I captain of course.

St. Ed: Are you expecting any players to step up in the playoffs?

Roeder: Yes. Sophomore Rylan Cooney as quarterback and junior Tom Collins as wide receiver are game changers for this team. If they step up, then our opponents will be stepping down and out of the playoffs. 

St. Ed: What's the biggest threat to your championship run?

Roeder: Playing the team of Steds seniors.

St.Ed: How do you feel about your chances to win it all?

Roeder: Big dogs love to eat, and we’re starving.
