Founder's Week dinner

Eoghan Fay, Dane Storch, and PJ Carroll pose...

... feted none other than Dane Storch '25, the newest inductee into the Order of the Gentleman. During Founder's Week, the Order of the Gentleman Dinner is usually held in the Oak Room of South Dining Hall, but this year, due to the room's closure and scheduling problems with inductee, the dinner had to be postponed to the following week. Storch gave not only words of wisdom but also some practical advice for taking advantage of living at Steds, Notre Dame, and becoming a gentleman that our nation and world need. Later, Storch was recognized for his service to the Hall- for being who he is, embodying the essence of a gentleman- and was inducted into the Hall's Order of the Gentleman for "action faithful and honor clear to Hall and King." While he will be remembered along with other recipients by a plaque in the Hall's main lobby, Storch was given at the end of the dinner a specially minted coin commemorating this high honor.

On his induction, Storch said, "It's all overwhelming. I loved being able to see all the Steds guys again and share what I have learned. And the Order of the Gentleman’s Dinner was scrumptious as always… not a morsel is wasted by the Stedsmen nor by me!"
