It's not...

It's open...
... once again! That’s right, Ed's reopened. After a short hiatus, summer break, Ed's has reopened, allowing every night to once again be an "Ed's Night." Yes, once again pizza sticks, mozzarella sticks, piannis, smoothies, milkshakes are being made with generous amounts of TLC and served with convincing smiles. And all this TLC and smiles at Ed's, there have been no lull in the serving of late night goodness. And the Stedsman at the center of all of it is none other than Da’ Manager, Cole O’Hara. Overseeing the day-to-day operations, O’Hara is at the helm of not only tastiness but also the face of the day-to-day campaign of “Making your night, an Ed’s night.” How does the Da’Manager do it? Well, he’s not saying, but suffice it to say, he and the Stedsmen are winning.
On the mantle of responsibility, O’Hara, Steds junior and resident Californian, disclosed, “ As the seasoned steward of the campus AND world-renowned Ed’s Eatery, it is my honor to announce our triumphant return of Ed’s. It is more than a place to grab a panini or mozz stick — it is a sanctuary where weary Gentlemen gather to share laughs, recover from long days, and feast like kings. As the revered Guy Fieri once said, ‘We’re riding the bus to flavor town.’”

A Gentlemen...
... serves. A gentleman may have his weekend diversions, taking him here and there, but he is more than just passing and fleeting frivolities. And that's what some Steds Gentlemen demonstrated this past Sunday. After the playful and enjoyable weekend diversions of paintball and a concert at the football stadium, Marcel Mangan, at the direction of the Hall President, Ryan Davey, organized a service trip to the South Bend Center for the Homeless. During the outing, the Gentlemen worked at Practical Resale where they helped sort and organize donations. On the outing, Mangan, Steds sophomore and resident Ohioan, shared, “It was great getting to volunteer at Practical Resale this weekend in support of the South Bend Center for the Homeless. Huge thanks to all of the Gentlemen who chose to volunteer instead of watching Sunday night football, clearly proving that kindness is more important than touchdowns!”

Paintball...
… it’s what you do before a country music concert. Before the Zach Bryan concert at the football stadium, the Gentlemen took leave of their studies on Saturday afternoon to paintball, and paintball they did. Taking advantage of an excellent weather, the Gentlemen partook in a Steds tradition that had been postponed since April due to the traditional location being sold. Playing a variety of paintball games, pitting Stedsman against Stedsman, Stedsmen of all ages took aim at each other all in good fun. And with fifty-one residents present, there was no shortage of targets! Still, one target, a high value target, was missing- Fr. Ralph. Unfortunately, or fortunately for him, Fr. Ralph was tasked with arranging some light refreshment following the frivolity. One of the participants was none other than Henry Mackie, Steds Hall Vice-President. On his participation, Mackie, Steds sophomore and resident New Yorker, declared solemnly, “Bruises fade, but glory doesn’t. Amazing day of paintball!”
