Scramble...

Steds Scramblers...

... at the Burke. As America took to a golf course in Rome for the Ryder Cup, Steds golfers took to the Burke Golf Course to demonstrate not only their golfing skills but also for the win. As they did, it was a beautiful fall morning with cool temps and a good amount of fog too. And to top off it, there were Chick Fil A breakfast sandwiches too! Unlike our American golfers in the Ryder Cup, a fun time was had by all Steds golfers, but it's true. Some golfers had more fun than others... especially our winners. The winning team was composed of sophomores, Clinton Daly and Andrew Sasso, and freshmen, Tyler Tellalian, and Daniel Guerrera.

On captaining their team to win and golf glory, Daly, semi-pro golfer and North Carolinian, shared, "It always hurts to see your country lose, no matter the sport or occasion. As a golf fan, the Ryder Cup is always a fun one to watch, but as of late, it seems like we are cursed playing in Europe. Hopefully we can capture the cup next time when it’s back in the USA. Thankfully, I had a win of my own this weekend to lighten the blow of the Ryder Cup. My team and I won the Sted’s Scramble, and I have to say it was a great feeling. It was a lot of fun to play a scramble format and compete with the other guys in the dorm. I had my swing dialed off the tee, my teammates made some big putts when it counted, and we got her done. I’m proud of the win and look forward to defending my title next year!"
