If they are not...

Just hanging about or parked?

... catching on fire, then they are ending up here. Yes, if campus motorized scooter and bicycles aren't catching on fire (like one did at Mendoza College of Business) then they are being thrown up into the trees, like this one at Main Circle right outside of Alumni Hall. Motorized scooters and bicycles thrown into trees are no different then those driven about campus sidewalks, a complete annoyance. But for some, like Anthony Kafel, Steds senior, mailman, and RA, motorized scooters and bicycles are a way of life. On seeing a motorized scooter in a tree, Kafel said, "There are always issues finding parking for scooters at the bike racks on campus as I rush to get to class. I might have to start parking my scooter there too.
