Saturday squirrel.

Found Fools' Gold

It may be spring, but it still feels as if we are in winter. The recent snow on this weekend and last weekend have reminded us in a very real way that winter is making a slow exit, slower than many us would want. The truth is that this weather is not just inconvenient but also trying and that is especially the case for our furry friends. Forced to forge daily, the snow makes that just a bit more difficult for the squirrels, and if that wasn't bad enough, it also makes their fur damp. There's nothing worse than forging with damp fur. But this squirrel, seen in the east end of St. Edward's Park, found a cheeseburger wrapper. Sadly, it wasn't edible. On finding an inedible wrapper, our furry friend non-verbal, "Just when you think you've stuck gold... it's campus pyrite!"
