DiFilippo and Hale:
... about it. Stedsman and aerospace engineer, Vince DiFilippo, is a jazz sensation. Described as Notre Dame's very own Kenny G, DiFilippo has captured the ears of many, including his fellow Stedsmen, playing his sweet and melodic saxophone with a smooth West vibe. But recently, he took a break from all the jazz to play with his fellow Stedsman and chemical engineer, David Hale. Picking up their guitars, the two teamed up to play to the crowds at the Farley Coffee House, which ironically was not at Farley Hall nor at a coffee house but at Remick Commons, home of the ACE program. Regardless of the location, coffee house goers were not disappointed as the duo showed off their musical talents with flair and effect. On playing the venue with his fellow musical engineer, Hale shared, "Playing Farley Coffee House with my roommate Vince was reminiscent of Queen at Live Aid or the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show. A venue like that is something musicians dream of, but few have the fortune of partaking in. We couldn’t have done it without the support of our loyal Stedsmen fans who cheered from the front row.”
