The recent foot of snow has made life difficult, and the hardest hit by the recent weather has been our furry friends. With a foot of snow now covering all their buried nuts, lean times just became a lot leaner. But thanks to the handouts of students, our furry friends are scraping by these trying times. Yet, some squirrels are too proud to take students hand outs and have instead taken to their favorite berry trees. That was the case with this squirrel spotted in a crabapple tree outside of the Rockne Memorial. On being seen feasting on berries, this squirrel non-verbaled, "I got my pride, thank you."
