Lest we forget...

WOD: What are you doing?

So as not to get “behind” in observing World Okapi Day today, October 18, let’s pause for a moment to remember our reclusive forest friends. These rarest of large mammals are native to the Ituri Forest in northeast Democratic Republic of Congo. And they are among the most endangered species on earth. Despite your view in the logo above, okapis are most closely related to giraffes—not zebras. Upon learning of World Okapi Day, a squirrel near St. Ed's non-verbaled: “When do we get a day?”
