Hanging in...

Smiling and stay warm: Fairchild

... there. These are the times that test the constitutions of many Notre Dame students, especially those from warm climates. Yes, Northwest Indiana weather, with its cold, blowing wind, snow, and grey clouds, puts the proverbial full court press on those students who are only accustom to wearing a fleece or sweatshirt right now. Winston Fairchild, Steds sophomore and resident Floridian, has been quiet, but his wearing of a winter coat in the Gregorian Lounge tells us that there's something else going on behind that smile of his. Leaving his smile aside, how is Fairchild really doing? On the weather's impact, Fairchild shared, "I feel like the walls are closing in. I miss my mother. And it's so, so cold."
