Saturday Squirrel.

Joe making his offering to an unnamed campus ambassador

Many would contend that the Notre Dame campus is a most inviting campus, and many would say the same of our furry friends. Yes, the squirrels here too play a role, an ambassador role of some sort, welcoming visitors with their playfulness, mirth, and antics. But just as they like to welcome, they also like to receive gifts that are of course fitting of their role as campus hosts. What's an appropriate gift? Steds mom, Susie Restic, found out what that was during her recent Easter visit. On the discovery, Susie said, "We dropped our bags at Morris and then headed out for a stroll. Little did I know that my husband, Joe, had filled his pockets with peanuts. He made lots of squirrels happy as we stroll through campus."
