Your Sunday picture...

Spring trying spring...

...from Notre Dame. Despite winter’s refusal to release its grip, spring is defiant. One way spring’s defiance can be seen is through the snowdrop flower, blooming about campus. The snowdrop flower, Galanthus nivalis, is a bulb plant, and its name come from gala, Greek for milk and anthos, Greek for flower. And nivalis is Latin for snow-like. So, there you have it… a pretty picture and a Greek and Latin lesson. Enjoy your Sunday wherever you may be!
