Ripp, #1, standing his ground and in the "circle of trust"
This past Saturday ND Men's Lacrosse
fans were treated to a special appearance of Kyle Ripp,
Sted's senior and ND Men's Lacrosse goalie. Taking to the field after "rudyesque"
shouts from enthusiastic fans as well as to preserve the comfortable lead of
the team, Ripp played for the remaining four and half minutes of the game. Before leaving
the field with the glory of a win, Ripp made a breathtaking and beautiful last
minute save. Of the save, Ripp said, “I was lucky enough to get in for
the last few minutes, which was just enough time for me to record a save. I'm
very grateful to have made the save because if I didn't, I would have posted a
0% save percentage for my career, which is less than desirable."
