Do your duty...
... it was. Yes, the University come close to closing yesterday as Covid cases saw a dramatic increase. Instead of sending students home, a host new precautions as well as a tightening of existing ones were unveiled, ranging from the suspension of in-person classes for two weeks to the closing of all gyms to the banning of all non-residents from the residence halls. Still yet, off campus students were asked to stay away from campus. Draconian precautions? Not in the least as they afforded everyone the proverbial second chance to stay here on what is undoubtedly the most beautiful campus in country, nay, the world, Notre Dame. No one understands the gravity of the situation than the Stedsmen. At the direction of the President Nichols, a ramping up of precautions in the Hall were implemented. On the second chance afforded yesterday by Fr. John Jenkins, C.S.C. to remain on campus, Fr. Ralph said, "We're playing for keeps HERE. Now, more than ever before, every Gentleman must to do his duty to King and Hall!"
... so we can stay HERE!
