Your Sunday picture...

Closing time

... from Notre Dame. Here's a fall view earlier in the season of the Hesburgh Memorial Library as the sun sets. Catching the building and the Word of Life mural, it captures one's attention just like the reflecting pool captures it all. Enjoy, and enjoy your Sunday wherever you may be.

Saturday Squirrel.

Ovibos moschatus

With our furry friends still on hiatus, it allows this musk ox to take center stage. Normally, found in the Arctic, this musk ox was spotted in the Galleria of Jordan Hall of Science. A part of a collection of taxidermied animals that augmented the original collection started by Fr. John Zahm, C.S.C., this musk ox certainly catches the eye as well as the imagination. On spotting this musk ox, Fr. Ralph declared, "I am glad it's stuffed!"

Last game...

Harry Shaia, PJ Carroll, and Chip Shaia...

... at home for the season, part two. It was an epic game, both on and off the field, and before the take down of Syracuse, there was much frivolity in the lots, especially the Stadium Lot. Coming all the way from Virginia, Stedsman and former second floor RA, Dr. Chip Shaia '89, joined his son, Harry Shaia '26, Stedsman and current second floor RA, and other Steds Hall Staff for one last go before the curtain of graduation descends. And as the sun shined full and bright, giving warmth on the crisp and brisk November day, what a time they had. On the tailgating, Chip shared, "Nothing is eternal on this earth, but Saint Edward’s Hall’s fellowship and community are about the closest you can get! Great to be with my fellow RAs."

The Gentlemen are thankful for all the laughs, Yacht Dances, and memorable times associated with this special place, the oldest and most storied residence hall at ND Day, St. Edward's Hall. THANK YOU to all who help make the traditions, camaraderie and friendship carry on, lasting not for four years but rather for a life time. THANK YOU, and God's blessing upon you all!

No studying...

 Diligently registering: Hickey and Balint

... going on here. None at all! First, it too early to be studying; second, it's time to register for classes! That's right... the registering for spring classes has started. All across campus, students are trying not only to be attentive to their studies but also, at the very same time, create the best possible class schedule for next semester. But even if that should be achieved, the prefect schedule may never come to fruition. Why? Because you may have drawn a poor registration day and time. Suffice it to say, it's best to have a number of schedules ready to go, and hopefully, that's what freshmen Owen Balint and Caden Hickey did. Seen in the Gregorian Lounge early Monday morning, this pair was busy registering, making their class schedule dreams come true. On registering, Balint, Steds freshman and resident South Bender, stated, "Registering for classes can be stressful and frustrating, but once all said and done, it’s rewarding in the sense you get to go back to sleep.”
