Saturday squirrel.

Passing the buck

Again, our squirrels are on hiatus, allowing another campus friend to take center stage. While we don't always see them, they are here. Yes, we're talking about deers. Normally spotted on the north side of campus in the woods and walnut grove, they can be spotted further south, even running through the quads. This buck was spotted on the abandon Douglas road at dusk. As it is rutting season, more and more bucks can be spotted, and a word to wise, don't get too close to them! Keep a healthy distant. On being spotted, this buck non-verbaled, "Mind your own business."
