Saturday squirrel.

On his perch...

As our furry friends continue to take a break, we have an opportunity to focus our attention on other campus friends. Seen at either St. Mary's or St. Joseph's Lake, the blue heron can usually be found perched on fallen tree limbs along the lake's edge. At other times, it can be found standing still, in the water, waiting for a passing fish to swim its way. This blue heron was spotted on a newly fallen tree on the north side of St. Joseph's Lake on an early fall morning. On being spotted, the blue heron non-verbaled, "Enjoying a great view."

BUT THERE'S MORE...

... or under it, our blue heron on the go
