Off to the...

Fans of Hansen... not the band

...races... track and field races of course! Stedsmen et al came out to see their fellow Stedman, Kirk Hansen, run the race of his life, literally and figuratively. Running in the 800m, Hansen need to finish like he has never done so before in order to qualify for the upcoming ACC track and final tourney. Whatever it was because of his training to something in the water that day, to Jupiter ascending, Hansen ran like never before, shaving a full a second from his time! On seeing his fellow Stedsman race, Sam Bradley said, "We were expecting to see a good race, but we didn't see much of anything considering how fast Kirk flew by."

Still, Hansen said, "Going into my race, I was hoping to qualify for the ACC Indoor Championship Meet. My personal record wasn't too far from the standard, so I felt confident I could do it. But when I finished and saw how fast I actually ran, I was so excited and full of adrenaline that I ran all the way back to my teammates giving everyone high fives and jumping around. I ran my best time by almost 1.5 seconds, which is pretty hard to do in the 800. Not only did my time qualify for ACC Indoor, but it will also set me up well for the outdoor season and the goals I'd like to achieve by the end of the year."

Congratulations Kirk Hansen!
