Coach's Corner.

Coach Daniel: a tense and pensive coach

Today, we have the pleasure of meeting Zach Daniel, Steds junior and the coach of Steds Hockey. If you’re a faithful blog reader, you’ll know that we have already met him once before when he was “down under” in Australia’s Outback. Here's Daniel in his own words…

Daniel: I am the coach, and I am here for intimidation. You may ask yourself, "How can one young, enterprising, African-American Gentleman intimidate entire team of hardened hockey players?" Think about this. When have you EVER seen a black hockey coach? The opposing team, like the team, has to think that he MUST know what he’s talking about!

But with the limited numbers of players that I have to work with and once you start seeing them on the ice, it’s difficult to maintain, let alone strike, much fear in our opponet’s hearts.

NEVERTHELESS, we have the BEST players that Notre Dame offers, but we just need two more. So, if you play or have played hockey in ANY FORM and you are reading this, please get in contact with me.

Coach Daniel's coaching secrets:

-Keep your head on a swivel- it’s a rule for life.

-Our time is now- well it is probably when we can score more points than the other team.

-Like the wolf, we attack to survive.

-Let’s get ‘er done.

With advice like that, how can we lose! Good luck Coach Daniel!
