They know something is up. Our furry friends know something is happening. There are less people around the lakes. Gone are the myriads of runners and joggers. Gone too are the walkers. Now, there is barely a passerby. Yes, the squirrels are sensing the recent change in the seasons. Summer has given way to fall, and now, they know that some lean times are head. And to get head of these lean, not to mention cold, times, they are stepping up their panhandling efforts. No longer are they hoping you stoop to their level and give them a handout. Now, they are going right to eye level and making their case for delicious treat. Such was the case when this squirrel was spotted in a tree at eye level. On seeing a person at eye level, this squirrel non-verbaled, "Are you really going to look me in the eyes and say, 'no?' Come on... something for the effort here!"
