Hats off to...

Gentlemen of Gentlemen: Lynch, Bergstrom, Lis, and McKenna

... to our Welcome Week Captains! With move-in and Welcome Week over and in the rear view mirror, it's time to thank our Welcome Week Captains, juniors, Henry Bergstrom and Alec Lis, and Welcome Week Co-Captains, sophomores, Michael Lynch and Greg McKenna. With the Covid, Welcome Week required more planning, patience, and meetings than ever before, and in true Steds' fashion our captains and co-captains rose to the occasion and delivered. While many Steds traditions and niceties had to be dispensed, our captains still managed to deliver a program that made the thirty-five newest Stedsmen feel a part of the Family. Suffice it to say, Steds is off to a great start. Indeed, we would be remiss if we did not thank Bergstrom and Lis for their labors and leadership, and at the same time, we will have to keep our eyes on Lynch and McKenna as they assume the helm for next year. Continued success.

On Welcome Week, Bergstrom said, "It was an absolute honor to be a Saint Edwards Hall welcome week captain for the past two years. Being able to welcome the freshmen to this wonderful place has been an extremely rewarding experience." He went on saying, "The themes for this year were resilience and perseverance. We were exploring uncharted waters trying to move everybody in with the Covid-19 pandemic all around. There were a lot skeptics that thought we wouldn’t be able to pull it off, however the grit and determination of the young men HERE would not allow failure to happen. Welcome Week 2020 was a complete success, and I couldn’t be more proud of everyone who was involved."
