... from Notre Dame. With winter releasing its grip, spring is springing. One way spring’s coming arrival can be seen is through the snowdrop flower, blooming about campus. The snowdrop flower, Galanthus nivalis, is a bulb plant, and its name come from gala, Greek for milk and anthos, Greek for flower. And nivalis is Latin for snow-like.
