... and about. With classes over, Stedsmen are free to be out and about, and so, periodically, we'll hear where they are and what they're doing. We recently heard from a group of Stedsmen from the Class of 2023 gathered in Herndon, Virginia, but today, we hear from another recently graduated Stedsman. David Hale '23 recently traveled to Ireland and Scotland. While there, he climbed St. Patrick's Mountain, in the traditional way of a penitent and pilgrim, barefoot, as well as saw Giant's Causeway. See yet, he managed to puff about with some local puffins. But after taking in the sights of the Isles, David also took in what the locals call the "water of life," whisky. On a well balanced excursion, Hale said, “They say you can take the gentleman out of St. Ed’s, but you can’t take St. Ed’s out of the gentleman. Carrying that slogan with me as I traverse across the pond!”
