The energy and excitement of the Steds Welcome Week Committee was palatable as the newest Stedsmen arrived and took up residence in their new home. With perfect temps and absolutely no humidity, it was the best Move In Day in eighteen years. Under the direction and tutelage of Ben Somerville and Brendan Avey, with assistants Tom Kelly and Rafa D'arriaga Schmidt Souza, the Welcome Week crew worked efficiently not only unloading the car of baggage but also washing windows in New York City style. And ALL of this was done with a smile and with no requests for a tip!
On Move In Day experience, Nathan Holt, Steds sophomore, resident Washingtonian and Welcome Week helper, shared, “It was a privilege to welcome the new Gentlemen of St Edwards Hall. Many great new faces were met, moved in, and introduced to the best traditions on campus. It’s always for the kids! The Welcome Weekend Committee executed with the typical St Edwards precision and performance. No Hall does it better! For Hall and King!”
