... of the Third Olympiad begin! The inter-hall games, with Sorin competing against Steds for the title of "oldest hall," started Monday. Dispensing with the opening ceremonies for pandemic reasons, the two residence halls got right down to business and to the first game... orange juice drinking or rather chugging. Representing Steds was sophomore and resident man from Maine, Will Dieterich. Perhaps he trained with Sunny D and not orange juice or maybe it was the fact that he was in the unfamiliar surroundings of that other hall but whatever it was, Dieterich was taken down in the contest. While a devastating blow to young Dieterich’s ego, and a set back to the Hall in its pursuit of gold, President Nichols assures everyone that there are many more games to be had! Still, a very special thanks to Dieterich for stepping forward for Hall and King… and the win. Next time for sure!
On his performance, Dieterich shared, “Without a doubt, I let the boys down, but I’m ready to start training again. Only 364 days until next year’s OJ chugging contest!”
