... they wait. With the electronic polls now closed, candidates in the Steds Hall election are now playing a waiting game as votes are tallied from today's election. The election, conducted by electronic voting, saw Stedsmen go to their computers to vote for three positions, Hall president, senator and student union board representative. Those elected tonight will take their oaths to uphold the Student Activities constitution and afterwards assume their various offices ALL before the end of the semester. After all the speeches, handshaking, promises, and pontificating, our candidates are waiting for Student Activities version of "Deep Blue" to tabulate the results. On waiting, Michael Lynch, Steds sophomore and candidate for Hall President, said, "The delays of counting electronic votes will alway baffles me. However, democracy is worth the wait."
