A star...

His big debut: Layton was nervous...

... is born, speficially, a radio star. Thanks to the direction of Eoghan Fay, Steds sophomore, resident Irishman, and veteran student radio announcer, Fr. Ralph Haag, CSC, has now become a part of an elite and august group at Notre Dame- WSND 88.9- the University's radio station. Once a guest host with Fay, Haag has now graduated. Given his own show on Fridays and with training and oversight by Fay, "Layton Haag" has spread his musical wings and taken to the airwaves of Northern Indiana, broadcasting Baroque favorites from Bach to Telemann and all composers in between for TWO fun filled hours. On his student becoming a master in his own right, Fay shared, "Naturally as Classical Music Director, I was delighted to welcome Fr. Ralph aboard the good ship WSND. Unfortunately, however, no sooner had he gone live and my phone started ringing constantly with calls from NBC and CBS trying to poach our new talent. Now I know how Obi-wan must have felt when he took Luke under his wing."

... but won Fay's approval!
