Taking five and creating a photo op

... away, it is a little eerie. Gone is the noise in the hallways. Gone is the electric scooter brushing by you as you walk about campus. Gone even is the furry friend searching for a hand out. Campus and St. Ed's is a bit of ghost town, and with everyone gone, one must provide the high jinx and distractions. With free time on his hands, Fr. Ralph was spotted by the Stone Hedge fountain. Taking advantage of the placement of an outdoor chair, Fr. Ralph sat in the chair and enjoyed the view. On sitting in the chair, Fr. Ralph said, "What can I say, but I needed to take a seat. And the view? It wasn't that bad!"

Spring Break...

The three s's of Break...

... breaking. Well, for some it is, and that's certainly the case for Patrick Campbell. Senior and resident Indianan, Patrick is enjoying the sand, surf, and sun. What is he not enjoying? Snow. Yes, it snowed again at ND, but thankfully, Patrick wouldn't know that it did. Ignorance really is bliss. On Spring Break, Campbell shared, "Enjoy your break!"

Is it coming...

Stalled...

... or is it going? Well, the answer is neither. This Grubhub Starship is neither coming nor going, rather it is stalled. It's true. This Grubhub Starship appeared to be having a malfunction of some sort as it become inoperable early in the morning, stalling on the path of Main Building leading to St. Ed's. Stalled roughly at 9am, the Starship remained there until early evening, causing a traffic obstacle for walkers, skateboarders, bicycle riders, electronic scooters, and other electronic food delivery robots. Was there a problem with its binary coding? A dead battery, or like in Star Wars, a defective motivator? We'll never know, but what we do know is that the delivery robot needed a human to save the day. On the defective robot, Fr. Ralph shared, "I think it was having a good old fashion case of the Mondays on Thursday."

Spring flowers in bloom at ND

... a break, Spring Break to be exact. Yes, time to take a break from the books, classes and lectures, routines and schedules... and well, do whatever is needed in order to come back refreshed and ready for the final push to the end of Spring Semester and the academic year. What are the Stedsmen doing? Going here and there and everywhere. On his plans for Spring Break, Fr. Ralph said, "I love you all, but I hope I don't see you. Break well, and don't rush back ya hear now. Go on get!"

Saturday Squirrel.

Do you see our furry friend?

The recent snowfall caught everyone off guard, including our furry friends. Yes, just when everything looked to be going spring, a last gasp of winter made an appearance. While pretty to look at, the snow was an inconvenience to say the least. And that was certainly the case for this squirrel by Carroll Hall. Staying put under a pine tree less he get wet, this squirrel was forced to search for food stuffs in very small, but dry, space. Was he successful? Did he find lunch or a snack? Who knows? On his searching, this squirrel non-verbaled, "Looking for nuts in all the wrong places I am!"

Looking in all the wrong places!

It snowed...

MORE snow...

... again. Last Friday, it snowed a total of nine inches, and this Friday, it snowed three inches. It was a heavy, wet snow, covering everything is a beautiful white blanket. And while this snow will stay around longer thanks to colder temperatures, no one really cares. Yes, no one cares because today is the start of Spring Break. Jetting outta here to beaches and warmer climes, or just home, Stedsmen have evacuated the Hall. Wherever break takes them, may it be restful, relaxing, and rejuvenating. On the recent snowfall, Fr. Ralph, who is staying at the Hall for break, shared, "You know, I think Jesus is sending us a sign about the snow... ENOUGH!"
