FOR KING AND HALL.

FOR THE LOVE OF THE KIDS... GIVE TO STEDS!

Once again, the Gentlemen are asking for any and all support from any and all persons wherever they may be! If you are unaware of this important day, below is a message being sent to all family and friends of St. Edward's that explains the importance of this day. Through your generosity, we can host our beloved events as well as start new ones, make renovations and upgrades to the Hall, support our inter-hall sports teams, and much more. In short, the funds raised on THIS DAY makes Steds, well, Steds. NONE of this would be possible without your support for this Notre Dame Day!  So, remember Steds and spread the word!

What is Notre Dame Day?

Notre Dame Day is a day for celebrating all things Notre Dame.  We hope that you tune in, take action, and help the important work of Notre Dame’s OLDEST AND MOST STORIED RESIDENCE HALL, ST. EDWARD’S HALL.

Why is this important?

Your participation will directly impact the life of our hall.

How do I impact the life of St. Edward’s?

Watch the ND Day broadcast and at the site, go to "causes." Next, in the search bar, type in St. Edward’s (or St Ed’s), and give what you can. You can also find us by looking under residence halls too. Ten dollars is the perfect gift. Really. No gift is too much nor any gift too small. To give, click HERE.

Remember ND Day is TODAY, Wednesday, April 30th, and ends at 11:59PM EST.

And don’t forget, please share this message with others, anyone and everyone can participate for St. Ed’s! To give, click HERE.

What will St. Edward’s Hall do with its Notre Dame Day funds?

As the oldest residence hall on campus, we need your support to help keep our Hall the special place that it is.  We have used past ND Day funds to make improvements to our common spaces, our pool room, the study lounges, gym and so much more.  We have also used funds for a new basketball hoop, a new outdoor hall sign, and new uniforms for our hall sports teams to win and lose in style.

But remember, NONE of this would be possible if not for you.  Your participation, and the encouraging of others to do the same, make all of this possible, having an immediate and tremendous impact on the lives, camaraderie, and spirits of those who call this hall their home under the Dome.

All our love and thanks,

St. Edward & The Gentlemen of St. Edward’s Hall

What they want for...

Keep President Davey...

... ND Day. This is for real, and everyone is playing for keeps. Steds needs YOUR help to keep Steds the special place that it is for the Gentlemen of gentlemen at Notre Dame.

The impact of ND Day on Steds is tremendous so much so that it is difficult to quantify it. Simply put, it impacts EVERYTHING we do as the University's oldest and most storied residence hall.

How St. Ed’s finishes determines what we can do for the following year… and with recent budget cut backs… how St. Ed’s finishes is more important now than ever!

On what he would like to do with funds donated on ND Day, Ryan Davey, Steds sophomore, Hall President, and resident Pennsylvanian, shared, "We would like to use the ND Day donations to create more opportunities for Stedsmen to connect with each other, whether that be at something small like mini golf, or something big like our Mothers Weekend. With your support, we hope to build an even stronger Steds community and network.”

But one of his Vice Presidents, Luke Donoghue, Steds sophomore and resident New Yorker, said, "Put simply, your support will enhance our ability to foster community within Steds. It will allow us to organize events that bring the entire dorm together, introducing freshmen to seniors as we grow as a family. For Hall and King."

But yet, a concerned constituent of the Steds Hall the Government, Kyle Mackey, Steds sophomore and resident Texan, stated, "I would love to see the ND day funds go towards events that further build up the community in Steds and allow us to continue to grow together as a Hall."

On what he would like to do with funds donated on ND Day, AJ Jones, Steds sophomore, ND Men's Track Team member, and resident Nebraskan, disclosed, "As a student-athlete and late-night studier, Ed’s, our late night eatery, is crucial. ND Day funds help keep things like Ed’s running so students like me can stay fueled and focused when it matters most!”

Saturday's squirrel.

Waiting for carry out...

Our furry friends are always watching us. When you least at expect it, you'll find a campus neighbor watching you, studying you, staring at you. Why? Who knows because most of the time when spotted, our furry friends scurrying off. But every now and then, a squirrel will let you know what's on his mind. When walking to NDH, Lou Rauch, Steds senior, RA, and resident Illinoisan, found himself being starred down by a campus squirrel who didn't run away. On seeing Rauch, this squirrel non-verbaled, "Avoid the tuna salad, and bring me some nuts on your way back."
