It is finally...

... done! Seemingly under construction like the Dan Ryan Expressway in Chicago, the Our Lady of the Lake Peace Plaza (OLLPP) is finally open. Funded by the Pulte Family Foundation, the OLLPP, built in memory of William Pulte, has helped develop of piece of land that was always popular with walkers, sunset watchers, and lake enjoyers but very prone to flooding and other problems. Now, flooding is a thing of the past, and there are plenty of places to sit and take in the views of and sunsets over St. Mary's Lake. Still, thanks to an arced platform, you can actually go out into the lake. Enjoy, and don't fall in! And at the center of it all, is a fountain etched with a prayer for world peace, devised by William Pulte and various faith leaders, written in seven languages. On the completion of the OLLPP, an unnamed visitor shared, "It's the place to be."
