Smith: All smiles and tanking it
...to awaken a fierce rivalry. Yes, it is time to let loose the rivalry between Steds and Zahm on the basketball court to determine which hall has the distinction of being first in the shadow of Mary and the Dome. Yes, it is time for every Gentleman, regardless of his basketball skills, to form a team of three and take to the court in the backyard of Steds which, by the way, has a brand new hoop.
As teams advance or crash out, a cookout would be hosted by and for all Gentlemen players. Finally, in what will surely be a Steds vs Steds final, the championship game will be played under the lights, portable ones, of the Steds court that have been brought in with the help of Steds dad for this most special event.
On playing in the FIFTH Battle for the Shadow tourney and sporting the official Steds BFS tank, Jacob Smith, Steds freshmen and baller, said, "Basketball is the tool with which St. Ed’s will destroy Zahm.”
I can't argue with that... Good luck to all players!
