That's a T.V. smile if I ever saw one
Kyle Ripp,
Steds senior and former Hall Vice-President, is nearing the end of his
matriculation at Notre Dame. Mr. Vice-President graciously came down from his
lofty perch to share with us his “senior” insights. Here’s what Ripp had to say
when asked for some parting thoughts.
St. Ed: What are you looking forward to in
your last semester?
Ripp: I look forward to spending as much
time with the friends I have made in Steds as possible. While I can toss all
hopes of a 4.00 aside for this upcoming semester, I also plan on achieving a
number of other accomplishments, such as logging the longest ever marathon of Friday
Night Lights.
St. Ed: What is one of your favorite memories
of St. Ed’s?
Ripp: My favorite memory during my time in
St. Ed’s is without a doubt the weekend we beat Oklahoma during my Junior
Year. I remember running through the hallways, which were immersed in
anarchy, out to Stonehenge, where the entire student body gathered to bask in
the win. It was an electrical evening…
St. Ed: Looking back, would you have done
anything differently?
Ripp: In my time in St. Ed’s, the only thing
I would have done differently is I would have avoided the St. Mary’s Formal my
Freshmen year.
St. Ed: What advice would you have for those
following in your wake?
Ripp: If I could offer one piece of advice
for our future Stedsmen, I would encourage them to partake in every Hall event
and activity they can while living in the Hall. For the rest of your
life, there are going to be few instances where you can participate in events
that boast the camaraderie and brotherhood that Steds fosters, which is what
makes this Hall a truly unique place to live during your time at Notre Dame.
Next year, Ripp will be
entering film and television production, hopefully making a better sitcom.
Good luck Ripp!
