Coach's corner.

Kolb during his short-lived “Clean Plate” coaching style

This week’s installment of “Coach’s Corner” has us catching up with Joel Kolb, Steds junior and captain of the Steds B1 basketball team. Known for “stepping up” B1’s game on the court, Coach Kolb believes it all stems from stressing “fundamentals” and his coaching style, a style that he likens to 1-ply toilet paper; that is, rough, tough, and don't take… well, you get the picture.

Some the pieces of Coach Kolb’s wisdom are but not limited to:

-A proper torso should be thick and impenetrable.

-Shoot to get hot, shoot to stay hot.

-Would I rather be feared or loved? That's easy: both. I want people to fear how much they love me

-If the minimum wasn't good enough, it wouldn't be the minimum.

    -Parks are people places.

With wisdom like that, how can you not put points up on the board?

Continued success Coach Kolb!
